I've Been A-Hankering For Some Cake (and/or Other Dessert-esque Treat)

Ok, I have no clue why I decided to make this a post.  But I said to myself:
Nick1: Why not?
Nick2: Good Point!
Nick3: Thank you very much!
Nick2: I was talking to the other Nick
Nick4: Hey guys! What are we all talking about?
Nick1: We're talking about making a post about cake
Nick4: OOOO!! We should make it about rabbits!
I'll stop the conversation there because after that Nicks 1 through 3 beat up Nick4 for being so empty headed and for straying off topic.
Now, why do I want some form of dessert, preferbly cake? Because I have been playing a game where all this character talks about is cake. She promises you cake after completing a test. Unfortunately, I never get the cake! Which makes me mad >=(
But why might I settle for other desserts? Well that's beyond me. Though I did have another Nick Quartet conversation for that, but I think its best for sanity's sake if I don't put it here.
The actual reason I would settle for other desserts is because I'm so desperate, plus I could really go for Dairy Queen. And by the by, this is not just me talking about the moment. This is me talking about a hankering thats been going on for a long time, maybe 2 weeks. And, to make my situation even better, my bus driver always mentions the fact that she is going to Dairy Queen. LIKE EVERY DAY!!!!!!! I don't think there has been a single day lately where she hasn't said she's going. And I think she truthfully does goe everyday.  Which I think is good (taste and deliciousnedd-wise) but bad (health-wise).
But it still doesn't solve my predicament. SO I think I'm might have to steal my mother's car to get some. Which sucks for all the people on the road at the time because I have never even sat in the driver's seat of a car. Heck, I'm not even fifteen!!!! But hey, not my problem.
Moral of the story? Cake and desserts are delicious and good, and stay off the roads around 7 o'clock tomorrow. ;)

Random Post #1

I think I'll start a series of posts devoted to something totally random. Something that is currently in and/or on my mind.
Today's subject:
Moulin Rouge!
Have you ever seen this movie? It is just FANTASTIC! Movie musicals at their greatest. It is so quirky and delightful, but also so[oooooooo] tragic. I have cried after almost everytime I've seen it (Which is probably about 20 times, minimum (I had a phase where I watched it EVERY day)). It is one of those few movies that are tragic that can actually garner tears from me (Then again, I have cried in the most inappropriate movies, ie: the final Lord of the Rings, and the third Star Wars(It's sad when the Jedi die!!!)).
The actors are some of my favorites. Can never get enough of Ewan McGregor (Hehe, he's in Star Wars) or Nicky Kidman (I think she's fabulous, despite what many people think). Oh, and John Leguizamo! He is so[oooo] funny!
But the true meat and potatoes of the movie: the music and the story!
Music: The notion of using existing songs works really well. And the Elephant Love Medley is genius! Best medley of songs I have ever heard. But the best song is, by far, Come What May. I have never heard a truer love song.
Story: How can you not be enticed by a story about love? Especially the odd circumstances that lead to this love (Trying not to give anything away for those who have not seen it). I feel it's impossible not to get pulled into the movie. The movie is like Shakespeare took crazy pills, but b/c it's Shakespeare, it automatically good. It even goes all comedy to tragedy, just like many of his plays.
So, if you haven't seen this movie extraordinaire, I suggest you do. NOW!

Interment in Indianna

I totally went all thesaurus on that title. Alliteration makes everything much better. And, in case you don't know the meaning of interment, it means burial or funeral.
Ok, so heres how this all went down. Friday, my great-grandmother died. I wish I felt sad or something, but I've only been around her twice in my life, and the first was when i was a wee boy. The second time was when i was ten, though even it's not in conscious memory (I know, I have a bad memory!)
Anyway, that put a downer on the weekend when we found out(Saturday b/c my mother was at a dance competition 4 the girl who lives in my house. aka Brianna). So Easter comes, and its the same old same. I got chocolate and an iTunes gift card. The funeral(or w/e it's considered. The actual "funeral" is supposed to take place in Maryland) was Tuesday. So Monday, I downloaded music(I'll Make a Man Out of You(from Mulan!) and Don't Stop Believin', to name a few of the best) and got packed for the trip.
So Tuesday I wake up at 5 o'clock. Yippie! We head out at 6:30ish. We arrive at the hotel @ 11:30ish. The Astoria Inn(pictured below)

After unpacking, we head over to the restaurant next door for a bite. It was a nice little place. Very homely (Also pictured below)
Also, it wouldn't be an average lunch with my family if somebody hadn't pointed out one of the more colorful items on the menu

Sirloin Butt Steak. Thank you Brianna!
Anyway, afterwards, we had three hours to kill. So we just stayed in our rooms. AND I WAS BORED!!!!!!! My grandfather fell asleep and snored like an elephant playing a trumpet. My cousin also fell asleep, but luckily he doesn't snore like that. My music was so loud to drown out the snores that I swear my ear drums burst. Even texting those that AREN'T AT SCHOOL(haha to those that were) didn't kill my boredom.
Fast forward to the funeral. Also boring. I know ABSOLUTELY nobody there. And we had to be there from 3(this being Indianna time) to whenever the service finished (it started @ 7 Indianna time). Longest time of my life.
Afterwards, we grab a bite from Taco Bell and head back to the hotel. We settle down. I get prepared to blog about the day, only to find out the wifi doesn't work!!! The horror!!! So that ruins my day even more so. The icing of my horrid day? Trying to fall asleep with snores galore.

The next day. We wake up. Grab breakfast. Then leave.( Not very eventful)
And that was that. Boring to the max.

Rip Out Ma Brains and/or Maybe Eyes

I am sitting at my computer, ready to RANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, on to why. I am watching SNL. Zac Efron is the host. Hence the reason I want to rip out ma brains and/or eyes. I know that SNL has been going somewhat downhill lately(maybe the writers are really from Wall Street???). But honestly??? He has defamed the show even more so!
The only good thing is that he himself is making fun of High School Musical, by doing HSM4(and Walt Disney?? Hilarious!!!). Oh, and when some random hollywood blogger was on weekend update, she was like, "Zac Efron? More like Zac what the f is wrong?" That was genuinely funny.
The only reason I'm still watching it is to see how bad he is, plus I'm also listening to PIPPIN, which sort of drowns my brain so I don't think a lot about Zac what the f is wrong.
But on a more serious note about you know who(not Voldemort). He really can't perform comedy or anything beyond a musical. His accents suck. He also can't wear a costume that isn't a basketball uniform. I've seen him go freaky blonde and peppy, German(with the accent) in those yoddler outfits, and as a soldier. The only thing that even make his scenes funny is the fact is that he can't act. Oh, and the fact that there's always some guy cross-dressing. Bobby Moynihan as an older mother and Fred Armisen as an overreacting mother in a commercial. By the way, I just noticed how they only have like one woman as a current cast member(all the others are "featured").
I think my RANT is over. SNL is almost over. So I guess I'll stop. Before I launch myself into a more fueled rant.

The Pippin Phenomenon

Well, my friend(*cough* Maddi *cough*) beat me to the whole Pippin blogging thing. But i decided to blog anyway!!!!!!
So first of all, it was put on by my wonderful school, Ignatius!!! It's actually the las show to be performed in Rade Dining Hall, because next fall we have the new performing arts center!!!!!!!! So sadness for the retirement of our stage, but happiness for the new stage!!!
Ok, onto the show!!!!!!
It was like probably the most amazing show I have ever seen put on by a high school! Though simple, the stage suited the show so well(it was basically stairs). And the dancing/singing was amazing!! Well, it had to be or else the show might have been pushed back(though i dont know if Fuj has the power to do that),
Oh, and like everybody I knew in it was A-freaking-MAZING!!!! First of, Tricia. She played leading player(the soul). I did not know that she can sing, but she shure can!
And there was Brian(senior Brian). He played King Charlemagne. And was hilarious!!!!! Like, his mustache kept coming off, and he had to do some improb to fix it, and it just made it even funnier. And, of course, he could sing. But I did know that he could sing because I've heard him before, plus he's in the cat-o-tonics and chorus.
Next up! Brian(frosh Brian). He was ensemble. And although I could never exactly hear him specifically, I still nkow he can sing. Though he did get an actual line in Act II! so YAY for Brian!!!
Now for Kelsey! She was a "main dancer." I personally believe she was the best of the dancers. Oh, and she was totally blue(i mean her outfits, of course!). She is fabulous.
And last, but not least, the honorable mentions: my friend Kevin(ensemble) and classmate Harrison(ensemble). I didn't know that Kevin could sing, but I did know that Harrison could sing. And sing well at that.
Oh, one final person. Although I did not know this person, I believe he stole the show. Lil' Daniel who played Theo. There was not a person in the house who didn't love this little guy! He just stole the show, packed it up, and placed it in  his pocket.
Ok, so I rambled about a bunch of people everybody probably doesn't know. But now for what I think probably made up for about half of the show's magnificance. The people I went with, my friends. I went with Maddi, Pam, and Alex(who actually goes to school with me). And we had a general blast! Comments were made. Elmos were dancing. And child custody battles took place(seriously, anyone who doesn't know, don't ask!).
And I guess that's all there is to the phenomenon... WAIT!!!!!! The songs!!!! They were great!!!! I loved the audience interaction in No Time At All. I also loved Glory. The other leading player was fantastic in it. Oh, I also loved her hair!!!!! Ok, i think that that is all.
So G'night!

Dilemma

Ok, i have a HUGE dilemma!!!!
It involves theatre, rivalry as old as dirt, and betrayal(possibly)
And what might i be refering to???
Why none other than the musical Miss Saigon. so thats the theatre part.
What about the rivalry? well that would be the fact that St. Eds is putting it on!(GASP) Before everyone goes off screaming heresy or somin(ull think im, betraying my school[wink]), i really want 2 see it!!!!!!!!!! it sounds good, especially from the people ive talked 2(one saw it, the other is in it).
So I'm at a loss. I mean, does it truly mean anything if i go see it? Or will invoke the terrible wrath of the theatre gods???? Advice is suggested!
