Disappointment

Wow, so much for making a post every week or so.
So, since I'm also to lazy to go in-depth on everything, I'm just gonna make a list (you can go ahead and read it as a song):

I..... Went to Cedar Point
I did a lot summer reading
I also finished my APUSH
Did some classic old game beating
I got myself a new obsession
And I will not not tell you what
I found some money in my phone
(Can't find a rhyme, so what?)
I finally finished all my taxes
Ok, so that's a lie
I got some clothes for back to school
There's nothing more, goodbye!

(Quite catchy, eh? Oh, and sorry for the shortness. It's almost time for me to go to bed. School tomorrow, yay!)

$UCCE$$!!!!!!

DISCLAIMER: I just randomly decided to replace the s's in success with dollar signs. It had absolutely nothing to do with money.

Now, onto the real "meat and potatoes" of the blog: why I'm declaring success. You may think I did something amazing. Like cure the common cold. Bring world peace. Find Amelia Earhart. Find Waldo. Steal Gavin Creel (BTW, check out Maddi's fabulous post on him). But alas, I did none of those things (Though I could/would attempt some of them).
What I did achieve success in was finishing an incredibly annoying essay, quite nicely, if i do say so myself. An essay about morals [pained face]. BLEH! I mean, who needs morals when your Gavin Creel? Unfortunately, I am not Gavin, nor have I stolen him. So I obviously had to write it. It took me two excruciating days of procrastination, but I finally did it! I feel momentously happy! Heck, I even used a line from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in it. But I still have to read two other books and do APUSH work. Ugh! But I still can't pass on a chance to feel happy at this success. It made my day (erm, night). Well, that and some good ole' reading!
All I have to do is edit it (easy!) and mail it. So I can truly rejoice now. I think I might just bake me-self a cake. mmmmm. Cake. That's it. I'm baking/buying a cake. So later!

Awesome Movie!

I think anybody alive right now knows what movie I'm talking about.
HARRY POTTER & THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE!
I saw it the other day with a host of friends. It blew my mind away. Twas one of the best so far. I really loved all the humor in it, especially that there was some despite the depressing & sad tone that was in the background throughout the movie.
Seeing its awesomeness makes me unable to wait to see both parts of the Deathly Hallows! I'm even starting to reread it now (Ok, so I'm at least reading the best part, the Battle of Hogwarts).
Ok, so enough happy-cheerful-excited-raving lunatic talk. Time to be critical. There was an incredibly rude lady sitting in front of us. She basically told us to shut up (She may have phrased it differently). I mean, all we were doing was making funny comment on things. For example, we asked each other what the heck Filch was wearing at the opening feast. Harmless. But she had the gumption to talk back to us. So rude!
The only complaint I really have about the movie is that they left out some key scenes. Like the memory pertaining to the Cup of Hufflepuff. And I think it was in Half-Blood Prince that the relationship of Bill and Fleur is mentioned, because they do have a pretty good part in Deathly Hallows (Wedding, Shelter, Epilogue (In that it'd be random to mention them having a child if theyre hardly mentioned in thos eother parts)). They also completely passed over the fact that Harry now owns 12, Grimmauld Place and thus the whole idea of Kreacher! Grrr David Yates! Bad director!
Well, hopefully, the parts affected by these events won't be written out of the Deathly Hallows (If they were, the plot would be WEIRD!).
Oh, and anybody have any guesses as to where the first part of Deathly Hallows will end????
Personally, I say escape from Malfoy Mansion.

A While ~ A Collage in One Part(s)

Boy, it shure has been awhile since I last posted. This makes me very sad =(
I did have a half-written post all about the books I had recently read. Unfortunately, I forgot to go back to it after like two weeks, so I completely scrapped it. So now I'm going to just kinda collage what I've done lately and what I think. And maybe a few words to go along.
The books I read (above and below)
A movie I saw (Best animated movie EVER!)
Hilarious pictures I found (Above and below)
Games I beat (Above and below)
Movie I just saw
My favorite movie characters (Above (the bird) and below)
And that's practically all that's happened on my little "hiatus." There's probably more, but I can't exactly remember all of it. So maybe the title of this post is wrong, and A While is actually a collage in two parts. But I don't know. How could I? I'm not psychic.

End of SCHOOL!

YAY!!! School is O-ffically O-ver! I am O-ffically a sophomore!!!
I am so glad, yet, I'm also kind of sad. Like, I/'m going to miss seeing a lot of my friends everyday. It just figures I make friends with someone who lives one freakin' hour away. UGH. But, I'm still gonna try and see them as often as humanly possible (And maybe Martianally possible).
So what is there to look forward to??
Well, there is the TONY AWARDS!!!!!!!! Hosted by NPH!!!! Yay! They will be like the best EVER!
Right now, I can't think of anything else that I have to look forward to. All I can really think of is all the bad things. Like having to read a large book and have an essay ready by August 1st. And having to work basically all summer. What a joyous summer I have in front of me... Grrr.....
Well, at least there's no more school to impede me!

Crocker Park Craziness

Yesterday night was a lot of fun. My friend Kim came over and we decided to go to Crocker Park (Hence the title). So when we got there (My sister was there to), we were like, "What should we do?"
Well, I don't know who came up with it, but we decided to go to Giant Eagle for no reason whatsoever. So we made the long trek from one of the parking garages. When we got in there, we had absoulutely no clue what to do. So, we just walked around. Then my sister spied the kids' toys, so naturally, we looked at them. And that is where we got what would make the rest of the night oodles of fun. She decided to buy a one of those toy things that have a fuzzy ball that you catch with some kind of paddle. Then we decided to loom at the movies to see what they had, not that we were going to buy them. Our goal was to find Meet the Robinsons. We did, but to trump it, we found a movie with that old cartoon turtle, Franklin. He rocks. After finishing up our time with the movies, we went to the automatic check out line, which, to be quite frank, is a total bi$%^. That voice just kept talking when we were clearly still looking at all the candy. And, seriously, every time it told us what to do, we yelled at it. And, just so we're clear, we did make it out of Giant Eagle with getting arrested or something.
The minute we got out of Giant Eagle we started playing with that game. And, for a while, we had good aim. Then we started to get worse (No clue why) and almost hit a bunch of cars. But we didn't stop playing, no sir-e (Is that the right way to do that?). We eventually ended up going to the Apple store, which was closed. But we just stared at the advertisment on the jumbo iPhone. Who needs a phone that big? I honestly don't know. But it's cool nonetheless.
After getting bored (Again), we started walking randomly around. We saw what appeared to be people breaking into Aeropostale. They had a key, so either they were closing it, or they were stupid. Who knows? Then as we were walking past Barnes & Nobles, there was a mob of teens throwing what looked like a hormone fest. Oh, and apparently they were stealing hats and causing a raucous. Cops got involved before we got there. Or so the family we were walking behind said.
After escaping from the mayhem, we started walking towards Chipotle, figuring it'd still be open. It is there where we restarted our game of catch. It was during this game that we noticed we were all alone. So I screamed, "WHERE IS EVERYBODY!!!" And it turns out all the people were right behind me and laughing at my comment. We almost hit another car at that time. Soon, we were almost to Chipotle (And almost involved in more car accidents because of that wretched ball). When we did make it there, it was about to close in four minutes. So we were like, "Screw this. We're going home!"
As it turns out, we were right next to the parking garage we parked in. So we slowly made our way to it (And for the zillionith time, almost hit a car). When we got in the car, i grabbed Kim's pink pompom and started waving it out the window like a maniac while we were singing whatever song was on the radio. We got so many strange looks. But it was fun. I seriously held my hand out her sun-roof for the enitre ride. And I did NOT let go of the pompom. So I feel very accomplished! And that was basically my night.

Computer Dumbness

So.... My computer decided to be an idiot and destroyed itself. So i had to do a lot of grueling tasks 2 get it operational. That's about 3 hours of work. Not to mention that I still have to transfer all of my files off of my flashdrives and cds. So I'm very unhappy right now! Stupid computer rejecting me. And now its back to its factory default..... And iTunes is finally installing! YAY! Now if only chrome would finish downloading....... hmmmm..... I HATE PCs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WANT A MAC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Death by Schedule

YES! Death by a schedule. Is it possible? Yes, it is. Very much so.
I just signed up for my classes next year. And I am going to die!  Four honors classes, English (No clue how i managed that), Latin (Ditto), Algebra II/Trig, and Chemistry. I also am going to be in APUSH.
I just know I will die. I'll make shure to rewrite my will (again) to fit this. My oral interp teacher requested all my "electronic goodies." I think I'll give everything else to my friend Alex, unless of course he goes before me. Then I guess I'm stuck leaving everything to my other friend, Andrew. He's not going to be in the overload I'll be going into. It's like digging my own grave. Not cool.
So, if anybody would be open to doing my homework, I'll pay with words of wisdom!
"You CAN have your cake and eat it to"
"There's no I in TEAM. But there's also no U!"
"You can't spell slaughter without laughter!"
"Tacocat spelled backwards is tacocat"
"An apple a day keeps the doctor safely 200 yards away. It also keeps worms from ever owning a home"
"Although there is a FUN in funner, your teacher won't be amused"

I've Been A-Hankering For Some Cake (and/or Other Dessert-esque Treat)

Ok, I have no clue why I decided to make this a post.  But I said to myself:
Nick1: Why not?
Nick2: Good Point!
Nick3: Thank you very much!
Nick2: I was talking to the other Nick
Nick4: Hey guys! What are we all talking about?
Nick1: We're talking about making a post about cake
Nick4: OOOO!! We should make it about rabbits!
I'll stop the conversation there because after that Nicks 1 through 3 beat up Nick4 for being so empty headed and for straying off topic.
Now, why do I want some form of dessert, preferbly cake? Because I have been playing a game where all this character talks about is cake. She promises you cake after completing a test. Unfortunately, I never get the cake! Which makes me mad >=(
But why might I settle for other desserts? Well that's beyond me. Though I did have another Nick Quartet conversation for that, but I think its best for sanity's sake if I don't put it here.
The actual reason I would settle for other desserts is because I'm so desperate, plus I could really go for Dairy Queen. And by the by, this is not just me talking about the moment. This is me talking about a hankering thats been going on for a long time, maybe 2 weeks. And, to make my situation even better, my bus driver always mentions the fact that she is going to Dairy Queen. LIKE EVERY DAY!!!!!!! I don't think there has been a single day lately where she hasn't said she's going. And I think she truthfully does goe everyday.  Which I think is good (taste and deliciousnedd-wise) but bad (health-wise).
But it still doesn't solve my predicament. SO I think I'm might have to steal my mother's car to get some. Which sucks for all the people on the road at the time because I have never even sat in the driver's seat of a car. Heck, I'm not even fifteen!!!! But hey, not my problem.
Moral of the story? Cake and desserts are delicious and good, and stay off the roads around 7 o'clock tomorrow. ;)

Random Post #1

I think I'll start a series of posts devoted to something totally random. Something that is currently in and/or on my mind.
Today's subject:
Moulin Rouge!
Have you ever seen this movie? It is just FANTASTIC! Movie musicals at their greatest. It is so quirky and delightful, but also so[oooooooo] tragic. I have cried after almost everytime I've seen it (Which is probably about 20 times, minimum (I had a phase where I watched it EVERY day)). It is one of those few movies that are tragic that can actually garner tears from me (Then again, I have cried in the most inappropriate movies, ie: the final Lord of the Rings, and the third Star Wars(It's sad when the Jedi die!!!)).
The actors are some of my favorites. Can never get enough of Ewan McGregor (Hehe, he's in Star Wars) or Nicky Kidman (I think she's fabulous, despite what many people think). Oh, and John Leguizamo! He is so[oooo] funny!
But the true meat and potatoes of the movie: the music and the story!
Music: The notion of using existing songs works really well. And the Elephant Love Medley is genius! Best medley of songs I have ever heard. But the best song is, by far, Come What May. I have never heard a truer love song.
Story: How can you not be enticed by a story about love? Especially the odd circumstances that lead to this love (Trying not to give anything away for those who have not seen it). I feel it's impossible not to get pulled into the movie. The movie is like Shakespeare took crazy pills, but b/c it's Shakespeare, it automatically good. It even goes all comedy to tragedy, just like many of his plays.
So, if you haven't seen this movie extraordinaire, I suggest you do. NOW!

Interment in Indianna

I totally went all thesaurus on that title. Alliteration makes everything much better. And, in case you don't know the meaning of interment, it means burial or funeral.
Ok, so heres how this all went down. Friday, my great-grandmother died. I wish I felt sad or something, but I've only been around her twice in my life, and the first was when i was a wee boy. The second time was when i was ten, though even it's not in conscious memory (I know, I have a bad memory!)
Anyway, that put a downer on the weekend when we found out(Saturday b/c my mother was at a dance competition 4 the girl who lives in my house. aka Brianna). So Easter comes, and its the same old same. I got chocolate and an iTunes gift card. The funeral(or w/e it's considered. The actual "funeral" is supposed to take place in Maryland) was Tuesday. So Monday, I downloaded music(I'll Make a Man Out of You(from Mulan!) and Don't Stop Believin', to name a few of the best) and got packed for the trip.
So Tuesday I wake up at 5 o'clock. Yippie! We head out at 6:30ish. We arrive at the hotel @ 11:30ish. The Astoria Inn(pictured below)

After unpacking, we head over to the restaurant next door for a bite. It was a nice little place. Very homely (Also pictured below)
Also, it wouldn't be an average lunch with my family if somebody hadn't pointed out one of the more colorful items on the menu

Sirloin Butt Steak. Thank you Brianna!
Anyway, afterwards, we had three hours to kill. So we just stayed in our rooms. AND I WAS BORED!!!!!!! My grandfather fell asleep and snored like an elephant playing a trumpet. My cousin also fell asleep, but luckily he doesn't snore like that. My music was so loud to drown out the snores that I swear my ear drums burst. Even texting those that AREN'T AT SCHOOL(haha to those that were) didn't kill my boredom.
Fast forward to the funeral. Also boring. I know ABSOLUTELY nobody there. And we had to be there from 3(this being Indianna time) to whenever the service finished (it started @ 7 Indianna time). Longest time of my life.
Afterwards, we grab a bite from Taco Bell and head back to the hotel. We settle down. I get prepared to blog about the day, only to find out the wifi doesn't work!!! The horror!!! So that ruins my day even more so. The icing of my horrid day? Trying to fall asleep with snores galore.

The next day. We wake up. Grab breakfast. Then leave.( Not very eventful)
And that was that. Boring to the max.

Rip Out Ma Brains and/or Maybe Eyes

I am sitting at my computer, ready to RANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, on to why. I am watching SNL. Zac Efron is the host. Hence the reason I want to rip out ma brains and/or eyes. I know that SNL has been going somewhat downhill lately(maybe the writers are really from Wall Street???). But honestly??? He has defamed the show even more so!
The only good thing is that he himself is making fun of High School Musical, by doing HSM4(and Walt Disney?? Hilarious!!!). Oh, and when some random hollywood blogger was on weekend update, she was like, "Zac Efron? More like Zac what the f is wrong?" That was genuinely funny.
The only reason I'm still watching it is to see how bad he is, plus I'm also listening to PIPPIN, which sort of drowns my brain so I don't think a lot about Zac what the f is wrong.
But on a more serious note about you know who(not Voldemort). He really can't perform comedy or anything beyond a musical. His accents suck. He also can't wear a costume that isn't a basketball uniform. I've seen him go freaky blonde and peppy, German(with the accent) in those yoddler outfits, and as a soldier. The only thing that even make his scenes funny is the fact is that he can't act. Oh, and the fact that there's always some guy cross-dressing. Bobby Moynihan as an older mother and Fred Armisen as an overreacting mother in a commercial. By the way, I just noticed how they only have like one woman as a current cast member(all the others are "featured").
I think my RANT is over. SNL is almost over. So I guess I'll stop. Before I launch myself into a more fueled rant.

The Pippin Phenomenon

Well, my friend(*cough* Maddi *cough*) beat me to the whole Pippin blogging thing. But i decided to blog anyway!!!!!!
So first of all, it was put on by my wonderful school, Ignatius!!! It's actually the las show to be performed in Rade Dining Hall, because next fall we have the new performing arts center!!!!!!!! So sadness for the retirement of our stage, but happiness for the new stage!!!
Ok, onto the show!!!!!!
It was like probably the most amazing show I have ever seen put on by a high school! Though simple, the stage suited the show so well(it was basically stairs). And the dancing/singing was amazing!! Well, it had to be or else the show might have been pushed back(though i dont know if Fuj has the power to do that),
Oh, and like everybody I knew in it was A-freaking-MAZING!!!! First of, Tricia. She played leading player(the soul). I did not know that she can sing, but she shure can!
And there was Brian(senior Brian). He played King Charlemagne. And was hilarious!!!!! Like, his mustache kept coming off, and he had to do some improb to fix it, and it just made it even funnier. And, of course, he could sing. But I did know that he could sing because I've heard him before, plus he's in the cat-o-tonics and chorus.
Next up! Brian(frosh Brian). He was ensemble. And although I could never exactly hear him specifically, I still nkow he can sing. Though he did get an actual line in Act II! so YAY for Brian!!!
Now for Kelsey! She was a "main dancer." I personally believe she was the best of the dancers. Oh, and she was totally blue(i mean her outfits, of course!). She is fabulous.
And last, but not least, the honorable mentions: my friend Kevin(ensemble) and classmate Harrison(ensemble). I didn't know that Kevin could sing, but I did know that Harrison could sing. And sing well at that.
Oh, one final person. Although I did not know this person, I believe he stole the show. Lil' Daniel who played Theo. There was not a person in the house who didn't love this little guy! He just stole the show, packed it up, and placed it in  his pocket.
Ok, so I rambled about a bunch of people everybody probably doesn't know. But now for what I think probably made up for about half of the show's magnificance. The people I went with, my friends. I went with Maddi, Pam, and Alex(who actually goes to school with me). And we had a general blast! Comments were made. Elmos were dancing. And child custody battles took place(seriously, anyone who doesn't know, don't ask!).
And I guess that's all there is to the phenomenon... WAIT!!!!!! The songs!!!! They were great!!!! I loved the audience interaction in No Time At All. I also loved Glory. The other leading player was fantastic in it. Oh, I also loved her hair!!!!! Ok, i think that that is all.
So G'night!

Dilemma

Ok, i have a HUGE dilemma!!!!
It involves theatre, rivalry as old as dirt, and betrayal(possibly)
And what might i be refering to???
Why none other than the musical Miss Saigon. so thats the theatre part.
What about the rivalry? well that would be the fact that St. Eds is putting it on!(GASP) Before everyone goes off screaming heresy or somin(ull think im, betraying my school[wink]), i really want 2 see it!!!!!!!!!! it sounds good, especially from the people ive talked 2(one saw it, the other is in it).
So I'm at a loss. I mean, does it truly mean anything if i go see it? Or will invoke the terrible wrath of the theatre gods???? Advice is suggested!

Falling Behind

And I'm not just talking about my lack of posts........
I don't know what or why it is lately, but i have been taking my procrastination to an extreme.  And let me tell you, it is not cool. My homework is getting done much later at night than usual. And I haven't posted for a long, long long time. This makes me sad =(
So I'm going to vow that I will try to post once every week. Or more!!! Because more is always better!!!!!!!!

So yay!

And for THE news:

Baldwin Wallace got the rights to [title of show] for those who haven't heard!! So make shure you get tickets!!!! This makes the world complete!!!!!

And that's about all the news.....

Bittersweet Week

Well, this has been, as the title suggests, a bittersweet week.
First off, the good:
Ignatius won both of its games this weekend, each amazing in their own right.
Friday: we were up against Glenville. we beat them by like 20 points. twas awesome. but the best part was the half-time show. the wildcat did a hula routine, and then started dancing with a random girl. they were so funny! oh, and this sophomore, shonn, scored liek 19 points! and he even did a slam dunk.
Saturday: up against Benedictine. beat them by 9 points. it was a real nail-biter. my cousin did pretty decent, tho fox was the standout w/20 points(gah! i feel like a sportscaster). oh, and in the end, we were up by 10 points, and so everybody was just like, its over. but then that shonn got the ball and ttly slam dunked it!!!! but, even more amazing, this kid from Benedictine got the ball, and made a full-court shot in the last second. Despite it being the other team, it was amazing. Oh, and i sat in front of one of my teachers, and he scared me to death! he screamed, yelled, and stomped!!! yikes! it was a horrible reminder of a previous "fit" he had in class. Oh(again), i also talked to a certain person, which made me incredibly, and creepily, happy. the magic of talking! gah! i have 2 say oh, again again!!!!!! how repetitive!!!! but i have 2.... oh, and the best part was that i stole like a bunch of dark chocolate of of the tables at this party we had after the game. im rich!

But now for the bad of the week:
My neighbor's sister passed away. she had lung cancer, and this was very sudden, specially since she died bc of liver failure. i miss her. and honestly, i didnt even know her too well. but i still miss her because she was nice, energetic, and a lot of other things. i feel so bad for her kids, especially her youngest son. he has to go live w/his father instead of his step-father, who he really wants to live with. not that he doesnt like his father, he just likes his step-dad more, i guess.
Another snippet of bad news is that my cousin's friend, who ive met once or twice, who also has cancer, tho in his foot, had to have his foot amputated! horrible!!!!!! what is up this week!!! but all the guys on the basketball signed a ball and went to visit him saturday, so thats nice.

Anyway, this has been a rather crummy week, even with the wins and what-not. So if anybody actually reads this, cheer me up if you please(s)!

Insomnia

Ok. Despite the fact that its like 12:30ish as im writing this, im sooooooo tired! but i cant fall asleep, bc of, as the title suggests, insomnia.
its driving me insane!!!!!!
ive actually become too tired to care about what im listening 2(what a rarity) so now im listening to Hilary Duff. i cant even fathom how she ended up in my library, but she somehow weasled herself into it. Not that shes that bad or anything, its just sad that I HAVE IT, and that IM ACTUALLY LISTENING 2 IT.
first of all, its from like 2003.
secondly, i dont have a secndly but i thought id include one just to make my case somwehat more impressive.

anyway, back to the insomniatic  ramblings.
Ive also been playing with the tabs on my browser(google chrome, btw, greatest of them all. get it). Like, for whatever reason, ive found it incredibly amusing to close a tab, open a new tab and press the picture to take me right back to the page. ive done it like 20 times. which is 5 more than a person should do on a daily basis. but if ur one of those ppl who needs to do it 20 times, then go ahead, ive got nothing against u. im just more of a 15 person

quickie- i decided i actually care about what im listening 2 just now. so i flipped around until i didnt care(the caring spanned all of 5 seconds) and now im listening to the Shrek 2 CD. i honestly have no clue where i get this stuff

Where was i???........ i think i was going to talk about an INSANE hw asisgnment(reading about a BAJILLION chapters in the bible), but i think im finally gonna ATTEMPT to hit the hay.
So nighty night. unless of course your reading this during the day.... then..... welcome sunshine, the earth says hello!

Being Stuck

I have reached an all time low. The epitome of lowliness.
I have to write a speech for my Oral Interpretation class. The speech is supposed to be about me. And yet, I can barely think of anything to write about.  How sad is that? The thing I should know the most about I have the greatest trouble writing about. And all that know me can attest to the fact that I'm usually very avid about talking about myself. It's almost a hobby! I bet this never happened to Mark Twain, or Shakespeare, or Stephenie Meyer!
This speech is supposed to be two, only two freakin minutes!!!! And yet I draw a blank. It's supposed to have defining moments of your life. But the problem is, I DON'T HAVE ANY!!!! I don't have great, amazing stories that begin like "this one time, at band camp..." I haven't even gone too band camp!!!!
.....So do I have to go to band camp to have amazing stories? Because if I do, I will! Despite all those stories! I'll whip out my sax faster than you can say the bible backwards.
Anyway, i guess what I'm trying to say is, speeches suck!

New BLOG!

Ok, so this is a brand spanking new blog. It's got that new car smell, ya know? Except that your computer doesn't have a smell function. Though that'd be cool if it did! Somebody should invent that! Oh, and before i ramble of into the distance, and for future reference, this is a blog that will explore everything from current political news to random things that happened to me that have absolutely no point. But if they do have a point, then I will........ I'll probably still post. Just because a story is a story!!! Anywho, back to the rambling. Somebody needs to invent that. I think i'll hire a top scientist to to do it!......blah blah blah
